Brooks | Saucony | New Balance | ECCO | ASICS

Running plantar fasciitis is searched over 4400 times a month in Google. Obviously, there are a lot of runners suffering with plantar fasciitis. However, I’m sure it’s no consolation to know you’re not alone.

That’s why we decided to create a page just for runners. Aside from that, I have a friend who is a long-distance runner and she’s 53 years old. She just came down with plantar fasciitis and asked for my help. This page is it.

  1. First, you need to read about the proper stretches for plantar fasciitis
  2. Second, you need to put plantar fasciitis inserts in every pair of street shoes you own
  3. Third, you should get a plantar fasciitis night splint to keep from waking up with heel pain
  4. Fourth, throw out whatever shoes you’re running in and get running shoes designed specifically for foot health! (See below)

Here are running shoes that were designed either by a podiatrist or were designed specifically for runners with plantar fasciitis. First we have women’s running shoes and then men’s running shoes immediately following.

Women’s Plantar Fasciitis Running Shoes

When we first started researching running shoes for plantar fasciitis, three brands continually popped up: Saucony, New Balance and Brooks. Not surprising. However, we also started reading reviews of running shoes and when it came to foot comport and running with injuries, two other brands seemed to dominate: ECCO and ASICS.

So here are all five brands. Of course we don’t have every model represented here. Only the ones that were specifically mentioned as being excellent for plantar fasciitis or in the case of the ECCO and ASICS, had the highest five star reviews.
